Quincy Market - Financial District

This downtown area surrounding Quincy Market offers plenty to see. The Freedom Trail passes through this area; its historic sights include the Paul Revere House and Old North Church. Don't miss a visit to Faneuil Hall Marketplace's numerous food vendors and local restaurants for an authentic taste of Boston. In the North End, plentiful shops and restaurants offer Italian-American delights.

Boston Common - Theatre District

These central Boston neighborhoods offer a wealth of historic sights and plenty of nightlife options. Ride a Swan Boat or 'make way for ducklings' in the Boston Public Garden. Back Bay - Copley Square

This bustling area brims with shopping, art galleries, restaurants and nightlife. Cambridge - Charles River

The city of Cambridge is best-known as the home of Harvard University. People-watch at world-famous Harvard Square, or shop for everything from used textbooks to haute couture. Explore local and international cuisine on Inman Square, visit MIT near Kendall Square or explore Japanese food and culture near Porter Square. To reach Boston, cross the Charles River on foot or take the "T" Red Line.

No matter when you visit Boston, you'll find something to cheer about. In springtime, the nearby town of Lexington hosts Revolutionary War reenactments. Boston's many colleges and universities hold their graduation ceremonies from mid-May through early June. Autumn is prime time for baseball's pennant race, a chance to cheer for the Red Sox. Wintertime features plenty of Boston Symphony concerts.

Freedom Trail
Even the most casual history buff will recognize the people and places featured along the Freedom Trail. Follow a red-brick path to 16 significant historic sites, including the Old North Church, Paul Revere House and the 'Old Ironsides' memorial.
Boston Public Garden
Across the street from Boston Common you'll find Boston Public Garden, the country's oldest botanical installation. Beautiful Swan Boats float through the park in spring and summer, and visitors flock to see the famous Make Way for Ducklings statues.
Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
Housed in a palazzo-style mansion, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum was once the private home of its founder. Surrounding a classical courtyard, three floors of galleries display a world-class collection of paintings, sculpture, tapestries and furniture.
Fenway Park
Take a tour of the Boston Red Sox's Fenway Park, and get an up-close look at the infamous Green Monster, a 37-foot-high wall towering over left field. One of the country's most-beloved ballparks, Fenway has remained largely unchanged for more than a century.
