The sparsely populated and thus romantically isolated aura of Big Sur makes it a top spot for a romantic getaway vacation. Experience stunning ocean views, awe-inspiring trees, and windswept vistas in this unspoiled region. You can hike and mountain climb in one of nine state parks, or stroll along the scenic beaches. Big Sur is also only a short drive away from the picturesque towns of Monterey and Carmel. If you want to do the big splurge for your vacation, Post Ranch Inn, perched above the Pacific, is the place to stay. The rooms and ocean houses are luxurious and breathtakingly romantic. They come with king-sized beds, wood-burning fireplaces, indoor spa tub, and private deck from which to stargaze.
